Practicing Humility

I struggle with humility.

How pride looks like has been a blind spot to me until it was unpacked during my recent session with my coach. Through the session, we explore how “practicing humility” looks like and new narrative to accompany the practice. Just few hours post-session, I caught myself showing up superior to another and as I reflected further, I see many examples of my prideful behaviors. Selah.

For whom the Lord loves He corrects, just as a Father the son in whom He delights. Proverbs 3: 12

The power of a mirror. A coach is an extra pair of eyes, a mirror to what we may not see (that’s why it is called “blind” spot). And my coach was not just my mirror, but also extra intelligent to build new practice. We role play how I could communicate with humility, not as “cowboy” haha ..

I always say “do not engage a coach who does not have a coach” because we can’t identify our own blind spots.

Are you aware of your own blind spots? How do you identify them? Are you working on them?
